Oberaudorf again. The trails fan out from here in every direction and the Sudelfeld Trail makes good use of that.

The opening climbs through forest tracks and wide paths, gaining elevation without announcing itself too loudly. The Fuchsstein at 891 metres, then a fast downhill: the part where trailrunning stops pretending it's only about going up.

The Sudelfeld opens out after that. Good trails, the kind you actually want to run. Technical uphill when the terrain asks for it. Then a descent that demands focus but stops short of destroying your legs, which turns out to be intentional: the final stretch rolls, and rolls properly, and if you've paced this right you'll know exactly what to do with it.

2,300 metres of gain and loss. A varied route with a panorama it's genuinely earned.

SUPPORT & CHEERING ZONES

Here's the thing about trailrunners: they look invincible right up until the moment they absolutely aren't. And that's precisely when they need you.

The OTF Cheering Zone is where the race gets loud. No bib, no training, no problem. Bring a voice, possibly a cowbell, and the kind of energy that makes a completely wrecked person find a gear they didn't know they had.

They've been out there for hours. You've been here, in the Bavarian sun, doing your very important job.

Make some noise. It works. We've checked.
