Six kilometres of rolling, fast trails to start. The kind that feel like the whole thing might actually be fine. Then: the Brünnstein.

At 1,634 metres, it's the namesake and the point of it all. Nearly three kilometres of climbing: forest road first, then trails that make their intentions clear, up to a summit that earns the distance its name. Technical descent on the way back down, then a stretch that alternates between flat and falling towards Rechenau, where the last metres of elevation are waiting to be dealt with.

After that: nice trails back into Oberaudorf. The Kurpark. A medal. Friends and family looking relieved. And a cold beer that will, in all honesty, be one of the better ones you've ever had.

SUPPORT & CHEERING ZONES

Here's the thing about trailrunners: they look invincible right up until the moment they absolutely aren't. And that's precisely when they need you.

The OTF Cheering Zone is where the race gets loud. No bib, no training, no problem. Bring a voice, possibly a cowbell, and the kind of energy that makes a completely wrecked person find a gear they didn't know they had.

They've been out there for hours. You've been here, in the Bavarian sun, doing your very important job.

Make some noise. It works. We've checked.
