GENERAL:
Some items in our store may be offered to you as a subscription, a pre-order or try before you buy. This cancellation policy lays out how you can change or cancel these kinds of purchases.

 
Subscriptions
When you purchase a subscription you'll receive repeat deliveries. These are based on the subscription duration and frequency that you select.
Your payment details will be stored securely and you'll be charged for each of these deliveries, unless you choose to pay in advance.
Some subscriptions may auto-renew at the end of their duration. If you don't want to renew a subscription you can cancel it.
If you want to cancel or change your subscription, you can do it at any time. Your order confirmation emails have links to your order. You can manage your subscription from there.

Pre-orders
When you purchase a pre-order, you are buying an out-of-stock or soon-to-be-available product not yet in inventory. We may collect no payment or a partial deposit at checkout, store your payment method, then fulfill and charge the full or remaining payment at a future date.
You can cancel a partially paid pre-order order that has not yet been fulfilled. If the order has been fulfilled, then you can't cancel the order, but you can request a full or partial refund. See our returns policy for more details on returns and refunds.

 
Try before you buy
When you purchase a try before you buy item, we authorize your payment method before fulfilling the order. You will have a certain amount of time to decide if you want to keep the item. Once the time period has passed, if you have not returned the item, we will charge your payment method for the full amount.

CONCERNING MEMBERSHIPS (see GTC)

4.1 Membership Tiers — Overview

SALTY offers the following membership plans:

• Free Member (free of charge): Our entry-level membership at no cost, providing access to selected content and benefits on the website.
• Journal Member (€49.00/year): Includes all Free Member benefits, plus three issues of the SALTY Journal/Magazine per membership year and additional member benefits (delivered by post or digitally, subject to availability).
• Trail Head Member (€99.00/year): Includes all Journal Member benefits, plus further exclusive perks as detailed in the current service description on the website.

The full scope of benefits for each membership tier is set out in the service description available at www.saltytrailrunning.com, which may be consulted at any time.

4.2 Conclusion of a Membership Agreement

A membership agreement is formed upon registration on the website, selection of the desired membership plan, and confirmation by SALTY. Paid memberships are activated only upon receipt of the applicable payment.

4.3 Term and Automatic Renewal

(1) Paid memberships (Journal Member, Trail Head Member) are entered into for a period of one year from the individual start date and renew automatically for a further year unless terminated in accordance with the notice requirements set out below.

(2) The Free Membership runs for an indefinite term and may be cancelled at any time without notice.

4.4 Cancellation of Membership

(1) Paid memberships may be cancelled by providing written notice (an email to hello@saltytrailrunning.com is sufficient) at least two weeks prior to the end of the current membership year, as calculated from the individual start date.

(2) If no timely notice of cancellation is given, the membership will automatically renew for a further year at the then-current price.

(3) The right of either party to terminate the agreement for cause with immediate effect remains unaffected.

(4) SALTY reserves the right to terminate a membership by giving four weeks' written notice to the end of the current membership year, and to terminate with immediate effect in the event of a material breach of these Terms and Conditions.

4.5 Price Adjustments

SALTY reserves the right to adjust the pricing of paid membership plans. Any price increase will be communicated to the member by email at least six weeks before taking effect. If the member does not object to the price change within four weeks of receiving such notice, the change shall be deemed accepted. SALTY will expressly draw the member's attention to this consequence and their right to object in the notification. Should the member object within the prescribed period, the membership will continue at the existing price until the end of the current billing period and will then terminate.
