Twelve kilometres. 500 metres of elevation gain. In other words: if you're into lactate, the Hocheck Short is your race. By approximately a hundred and eleventy percent.
All routes start at the Kurpark in Oberaudorf. Since the next twelve kilometres will leave you short on breath, here's the quick version. Lots of trails. Very fast forest roads in between. Up, down, flat, rolling, steep, wait, asphalt, doesn't matter, push, keep going, keep going, suddenly at the highest point (840 m), then downhill, a very very fast downhill, a short stretch of asphalt, pace and heart rate somewhere near the limit, then the finish line, fall, face doing something involuntary, air, air, air, and then the grin.
Done. Hocheck Short. Because lactate makes you happy.
