GROSSGLOCKNER COUNTRY. WOMEN'S CAMP. ZELL AM SEE-KAPRUN.
You probably don't need four days in Zell am See-Kaprun to prove anything. You've been doing the work: the early alarms, the long runs, the race entries that seemed reasonable at the time. This camp isn't about that.
It's about running the GGUT terrain in September with a group of women who train the same way you do. Guided by women who know what they're talking about. A program that actually accounts for how the female body trains – including a proper conversation about cycle-based training that goes beyond the usual paragraph in a sports nutrition guide. Three days of trails, technique coaching, yoga, recovery, and evenings that earn their place in the schedule.
September in Zell am See-Kaprun: the race season is winding down, the trails are quieter, and the mountain is still exactly as serious as it was in July. Good time to be here.

CAMP SERVICES
Four days. Four runs. One mountain. Finally, some good company.
- Guided trailrunning by female SALTY guides across the Zell am See-Kaprun region: a welcome run on Thursday to settle in, then three full days on the trails — 16 to 20 km per day, 750 to 1,200 m of elevation. Technique coaching built into every tour.
- A proper cycle-based training session: how your body's monthly rhythm affects performance, recovery, and training load. The conversation most coaches skip. This one doesn't.
- A mental strength workshop: what actually happens in your head on a hard climb, and what to do about it.
- Strength training for running on Sunday — the kind of session that explains why some people fly on the downhills and others brake.
- Mobility, yoga, and stretching sessions throughout. Not filler. The reason four days of running doesn't wreck you.
- The North Face test equipment available on the runs.
- Trail nutrition by MAURTEN throughout.
- Wellness and recovery at the Tauern Spa between sessions.
- A goodie bag. Packed by people who run.
CAMP PROGRAM
Thursday, 17 September
Check in before 15:00. There's a welcome drink and snacks waiting. Come as you are, running kit fully acceptable. The first order of business is the easiest one: introductions, a look at what the next four days hold, and a first go at The North Face test equipment.
At 15:30, the welcome run. About 9 km and 200 m of elevation. Enough to get a feel for the terrain and the group, enough to count as a training day. The equipment check happens on the move, which is the only useful way to do it.
Free time from 17:30. Dinner at 18:30. Then the first Kamin-Plausch: trail stories, route preview for Friday, GPX files shared. The kind of evening that starts as an info session and turns into something better.
Friday, 18 September
Breakfast from 07:30. A short warm-up and mobility session at 09:00 before the first real day begins.
By 09:15, you're on the trail. Roughly 17 to 20 km, up to 1,200 m of elevation. Technique coaching woven in throughout: uphill efficiency, downhill confidence, the things that make a long day feel shorter than it is. Back around 14:00 for a proper lunch.
Mobility and stretching at 15:30. Free time and the relax area from 16:15. Dinner at 18:30. The evening brings something most camps don't bother with: a proper session on cycle-based training. How your monthly rhythm affects performance, recovery, and training load. And what to actually do with that information.
Saturday, 19 September
The day starts at 07:30 with yoga and sunrise greetings. Then breakfast. Then the long one.
At 09:30: 18 to 20 km, 1,000 m of elevation. The same serious terrain, the same technique focus, the same stops where you look out and remember why you signed up for this. Back around 14:00 for lunch, followed by mobility, stretching, and the afternoon in the wellness area.
Dinner at 18:30. The evening closes with a mental strength workshop: what actually happens in your head when the climb doesn't end, and what to do about it. Useful on Sunday. Useful in July. Useful in general.
Sunday, 20 September
Mobility and stretching at 07:30. Breakfast at 08:00. Checkout by 10:00. Luggage sorted, bags by the door.
At 10:15: the farewell trail. About 16 km and 750 m of elevation. A fitting closer for a camp that earned its name. Then, at 13:00, something most trailrunners know they should do more of: strength training for running. The session that explains a lot about how the legs feel in the final kilometres of a race.
Lunch and the closing round at 14:00. Feedback, reflection, and the usual mix of people who are already planning their next training block and people who are still somewhere on Friday's ridge. Both are fine.
After that: the Tauern Spa is yours until the drive home. Use it.
A note on all of the above
